Ireland's Megaliths
No visitor to Ireland should miss seeing the magnificent site of Ireland's massive stone tombs or megalithic rocks. There are many types of megalithic rock or standing stones around Ireland, full or mystery and with a soulful resonance.

W. B. Yeats Sesquicentennial
2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Irish literary giant William Butler Yeats. Yeats was the first Irish Nobel laureate of literature and remains a strong influence in Irish culture to this day.

Donegal Crolly Dolls
I received an email asking me, "Where can I get a Crolly Doll?" Good question. It has led me on a quest of sorts. As all quests in Ireland, the answer was not as straightforward as you might think.

The Hearth in the Irish Home
Maintaining a connection to nature's elements is characteristic of Irish culture. The open fire, or hearth, provided the gathering place where food, stories and music were shared, being the heartbeat transmitting of Irish culture.

A New Taste of Ireland
The 2014 Taste of Cavan food festival highlighted the many artisan food producers joining Ireland's agri-food sector. Irish food festivals reflect the subtle change in Ireland's food culture over the past two decades.
